The arrow keys on the remote control are represented on-screen as a round "puck", which moves around to encompass the current option, ie the up arrow moves the puck up, etc. This provides a direct mapping between the remote keys and the on-screen display, always indicates current position within the heirarchy of options, and combines display with control.
