We only consult on Macintosh solutions

The Macintosh world is very different from other platforms. We see these differences as strengths which make the Mac-platform a uniquely powerful creative tool.

Unfortunately, most corporate IT departments lack the experience to troubleshoot and solve Macintosh issues. While we have experience using Windows and can solve most basic problems, we don't do Windows. We can help supplement their knowledge. We work with your corporate computer experts to keep your Macs a productive part of your total enterprise computing assets.

In addition to Macintosh systems support, we have extensive experience in networking infrastructure: router configuration, switching, mail and file servers, DNS, and start-of-the art, high performance networks. For many clients, we provide systems monitoring services so we often know of problems before you notice.

We often serve as the first point of support for all computer-related matters. When you have questions, it helps to have a resource you can call for advice. When problems occur, it helps to have a resource to affect speedy repair. When you have equipment or services provided by multiple vendors, it helps to have an independent expert to localize any problem in order to avoid finger pointing and place the fault squarely at the foot of responsible parties.

As your business becomes more dependent on your computer assets, you need someone dependable who can support your Macintosh and networking needs. We hope to earn your trust and build a long-term relationship.

We fully disclose issues and options

Some computer consultants screen the information they pass on to their clients. I have actually seen suit-wearing consultants call a huddle to decide on the spin of a problem to feed a client. Not so with us. You get the full, unabashed truth about whatever issues confront you, even to our own embarrassment.

We pride ourselves on having earned the trust of many companies and protect their capital investments and confidential information as if it were our own.

We do not sell equipment

There is an inherent conflict of interest when the person you turn to for honest advice is also in the business of selling equipment. We do not let resale margins or stale inventory taint our recommendations. If you are looking for a solution, we will identify what equipment best serves your needs, rank alternatives, explain the differences, a provide you with a list of vendors.

For all parts we stock or special orders you'd rather have us handle, you are charged a flat 10% over cost as a separate line item on the bill. We make our money by the hour, not by the sale.

We only bill for time we work for you

Some consultants require retainers, subscriptions, and emergency service fees. Not so with us. We have fixed hourly rates so you only pay for the work we perform.

Once we establish a relationship, we take personal responsibility to keep your systems up and running. Unfortunately, since hardware and software and services are created or provided by a multitude of vendors and with an industry perpetually evolving, we cannot warranty success or guarantee results. We keep abreast of known bugs, industry developments, and do our best to minimize your downtime and maximize our results.
